Milwaukee, WI (August 26, 2020)… Wild Space Dance Company presents Parking Lot Dance #2: On the River, September 16-17 at 7 pm and 9 pm in the parking lot at 1301 N. Water Street. Reserved tickets are $22 for Premium Lot Level chair seating and $15 for Standing Room Upper Level locations. The second in the company’s performance series, Parking Lot Dance #2: On the River brings audiences to watch dance in one of the city’s most unusual downtown parking lots on the bank of the Milwaukee River. Advanced ticket reservations are required: www.wildspacedance.org. Tickets will be on sale beginning September 4th.

As night falls along the Milwaukee River, dancers appear and disappear, moving in and out of headlights, navigating and accompanied by seagulls, geese, and cars traveling over bridges that frame the lot. City traffic and party boats pass continually, surrounding dancers and audience. Musical interludes of saxophone and pauses to feed the seagulls round out the evening.

The Edison Lot, tucked down from the city, offers an intimate out-of-the car viewing experience from the safety of a chair reserved for you.

“The sold-out success of this summer’s Drive-in Dance revealed the need for live arts experience and the thrill of dancing again with a live audience. The Parking Lot Dance Series allows us to offer a full season of live outdoor performance created in parking lots throughout the city,” said Artistic Director, Debra Loewen.

Performers: Tori Isaac, Mauriah Kraker, Molly Keifer, Danielle Lohuis, Jenni Reinke, Lindsey Ruenger and Joe Willard Riggenbach. Saxophonist Nick Zoulek returns to Milwaukee for his fifth site-specific collaboration with the company.
