Madison – In response to the Marquette Poll showing that Wisconsinites support Expanding Medicaid 62% -25% State Representative Jimmy Anderson released the following statement.
“Yesterday’s poll showed what those of us who have been listening to our constituents for years have long known: Wisconsinites want to expand Medicaid. We are tired of subsidizing healthcare coverage in Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and 31 other states while denying healthcare to almost 80,000 deserving Wisconsinites. Expanding Medicaid will create 10,000 jobs in our state and free up money to improve our schools and fix our roads. The Medicaid expansion is a good deal for Wisconsin. Legislative leaders need to stop denying the will of the people and improve healthcare for all!”
