Washington Post Highlights Tom Tiffany’s Election Denialism
MADISON, Wis. — New reporting from the Washington Post highlights GOP candidate for governor Tom Tiffany’s extreme record of election denialism and what it would mean for Wisconsinites to have a MAGA governor overseeing Wisconsin’s battleground presidential elections.
“Tom Tiffany is a die-hard MAGA extremist and it would be a danger to democracy if he were elected governor,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Tom Tiffany, who already voted to overturn one free and fair election in Wisconsin, would, without a doubt, put his finger on the scale and back Trump over Wisconsin voters yet again.”
The reporting notes that “Tom Tiffany, another Trump-backed candidate favored to win the GOP nomination for governor, voted to overturn Biden’s wins in Pennsylvania and Arizona and said he would have done the same for Wisconsin if such a vote had been held” and that Tiffany signed the Texas lawsuit to overturn the election results of several swing states including Wisconsin and recently appeared at an event with election denier Michael Flynn.
