(Milwaukee, Wis.-May 15, 2020) – The Milwaukee Business Journal recently recognized 19 projects for the 2019 Real Estate Awards and The Ivy House won for the “Best Renovation – Retail” category. The purpose for the award is the recognize projects that improve the region and make Milwaukee a great community to live, work and visit.

“It’s such an honor to be in the spotlight with an elite group like The Deer District, MSOE, Aurora Healthcare, UWM, Froedtert and the Milwaukee Ballet,” says Ivy House Co-owner Tyler Curran. “We love being able to provide the highest-quality event experience in a beautiful space for all of our clients.”

The Ivy House, a modern industrial event space, opened in July 2018 and has since hosted more than 200 corporate, nonprofit and private events. The former warehouse, most recently a night club, boasts cascading greenery, skylights, cream city brick, a large bar made from reclaimed bleacher board and a spacious ivy-drenched patio called Fernweh – a German word for wanderlust.

The Real Estate Awards ceremony will take place on Aug. 7 at the Pfister Hotel where the “Project of the Year” will be selected and announced from one of the 19 recipients.

In addition, the Ivy House has been recognized with Quorum Architects with an Award of Excellence from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) of Wisconsin. The IIDA award was announced on May 14th during a virtual happy hour hosted on the online platform Zoom. This award recognizes projects that meet several criteria, including innovation and originality in design.

“Quorum understood our vision from the beginning and helped bring it to life by giving the space a bright, elegant transformation that also has an industrial edge, matching the urban environment,” says Co-owner Ramsey Renno.

The Ivy House owners Ramsey Renno and Tyler Curran have been in the event and wedding industry for over 20 years. They also own and operate the event venue Filament (131 S. Seebooth) and Milwaukee Airwaves, a DJ and production company. All together, they host over 500 events a year.

The Ivy House team is excited to get back to hosting live events for both the public and private parties later this summer and fall. Keep up on events open to the public at facebook.com/ivyhousemke.
