Walker’s Point 5th Street Fest is Saturday, September 23 noon to 10 p.m.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin — Walker’s Point is hosting the first 5th Street Fest on Saturday, September 23, kicking things off with dance by Core El Centro and a showcase of bands and musicians based in Walker’s Point, and wrapping up with Hamburger Mary’s Drag Show.

Local vendors including Great Lakes Distillery, MobCraft Beer, Brenner Brewing, Fuel Cafe, Screaming Tuna, MOVIDA, La Fuente, and many more are on hand with food and beverages. Too Much Rock for One Hand, Drink Wisconsinbly, Handmake MKE and others are also part of the festivities.
“We have to show and celebrate how people of all different backgrounds, all different creeds, can coexist and do it very successfully,” Vega said. “That’s what’s going on in this neighborhood.”
