Wade House’s Arts & Crafts Fair Returns August 30 with Skilled Artisans, Live Music and More
Shop dozens of vendor booths, uncover handcrafted treasures and explore the scenic historic site all for the special event rate of $6.

GREENBUSH, Wis. – Handmade goods created by Wisconsin crafters and artisans will be on display at Wade House’s annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Sunday, Aug. 30. Set on the historic grounds of Wade House, the event features dozens of artists and craftspeople offering a one-of-a-kind summer shopping experience. In addition to browsing and purchasing handcrafted items, guests can explore the historic site, from the 27-room Stagecoach Inn to the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, for a discounted admission of $6 per person.
“Wade House’s annual Arts & Crafts Fair is a wonderful way to combine a historic excursion with a shopping experience,” said Wade House Site Director Bridgitt Zielke. “At a deeply discounted admission rate, guests can explore the site’s historic attractions, meet artisans and craftspeople, and get a head start on their holiday shopping list.”
From pottery and jewelry to woodworking, guests can shop a wide variety of handcrafted goods to suit every style and every corner of their home. Discover unique creations including:

Beyond the vendor booths, enjoy bites from local food stands such as John Michael Kohler Art Center’s Culinary Art Car, while listening to live performances.
Guests can tour the Dockstader Blacksmith Shop, see demonstrations at the water-powered Herrling Sawmill, and explore the 1850s Greek-Revival style Wade House Stagecoach Inn. Guests can also take a scenic horse-drawn wagon ride to the Visitor Center to tour the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, home to Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons, and browse for additional treasures in the site’s gift shop.
Wade House’s Arts & Crafts Fair will be held rain or shine. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30. Tickets are $6 per person (regularly $15 for adults and teens) and free for children under five. For the Arts & Crafts Fair, we recommend guests enter the property near the Wade House Stagecoach Inn (W7824 Center Rd., Greenbush).

Wade House is one of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s 12 historic sites and museums. Located in Greenbush, the site includes an 1850s stagecoach inn that was built to serve traffic along a plank road connecting Fond du Lac and Sheboygan. The site tells the story of frontier entrepreneur Sylvanus Wade and his family during the 1850s and 1860s. In addition to the inn, the historic site includes the Dockstader blacksmith shop and Herrling sawmill, one of the few working, water-powered sawmills of its kind in the nation.
