Vennture Brew Co. Doughnut Don 2024

Welcome to the 5th year of Doughnut Don! Time to bust out the concrete sneakers and celebrate this decadent dessert drink collaboration from Vennture and Cranky Al’s. April 13th starting at Noon at our East/MKE location, we will be tapping and selling cans and bottles of this year’s versions of Doughnut Don and Jeelly Filled. There will be three food trucks: MKE Bento, Yadeems on the Go, and 18 Acres to keep you fed. In the morning before the beer we will be featuring a Caramel Mocha with Coconut Cold Foam Latte and the beautiful Colombian coffee we used in the beer on drip and beans to go.

This year we have four varieties –

Doughnut Don: 11% ABV Imperial Pastry Stout with 16lb per bbl of Colombian Coffee, Vanilla, and hundreds of Cranky Al’s Crullers – This is where it started. Chocolatey, vanilla, with tons of coffee and a chewy body. Breakfast in a glass. Drink up! – 12oz Sleek Cans

Maple Doughnut Don: 11%Imperial Pastry Stout with 16lb per bbl of Colombian Coffee, Vanilla, Maple, and hundreds of Cranky Al’s Crullers – It’s back! Last year we skipped over our regular Maple for a Blueberry Maple Barrel Aged number, but this year, we’re slappin a flapjack on the table and bringing back the Maple. – 12oz Sleek Cans

Barrel Aged Doughnut Don: 13% Imperial Pastry Stout with 16lb per bbl of Colombian Coffee, Vanilla, hundreds of Cranky Al’s Crullers, Aged for 1 year in J Henry Bourbon Barrels – Lil shot of bourbon in your morning coffee? Add a doughnut to that? Well… don’t mind if I do! All of the beauty of the base beer aged for a bit in oak to pull out the remaining bits of booze from the wood along with rounding out the flavor and turning it into a complex lil number. – 500ml Bottles

Barrel Aged Doughnut Don with Coconut and Cacao: 13% Imperial Pastry Stout with 16lb per bbl of Colombian Coffee, Vanilla, Coconut, Cacao, and hundreds of Cranky Al’s Crullers, Aged for 1 year in J Henry Bourbon Barrels – Take a doughnut, dip it in chocolate, sprinkle some toasted coconut on top and call it a day. Barrels blending merrily with this lovely nod to a doughnut that is a nod to a cookie that is dang tasty. – 500ml Bottles

Jeelly Filled: Pastry Sour with Raspberry Puree and Lemonade – This beautiful number has tons and tons and tons of fruit smushed into lovely beer liquid to create a very unique drinking experience. Part smoothie, part beer, all love. Tart and fruity, this is the best way to eat beer. – 16oz Cans

The bottles will go fast and the cans will go quickly as well. The tap will also go fairly fast, so get it while you can! If you miss any of the beer on Saturday, we will have it on tap in our West/Brookfield location on Sunday from Noon-7pm.
