U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson to Headline Newsmaker Lunch Hour

MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson will be the featured guest at a virtual event set for noon on Thursday, June 3. This Newsmaker Lunch Hour is presented by a partnership between the Milwaukee Press Club and WisPolitics.com.

Johnson, a Republican from Oshkosh, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010.

He served as the Chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee from 2015-2021 and is now the ranking member for the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Johnson also serves on the Budget, Foreign Relations, and Commerce, Science and Transportation committees.

Johnson’s recent comments on the presidential election and the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol have gotten national attention and coverage.

Johnson will field questions from a panel of journalists from noon to 1 p.m., moderated by Milwaukee Press Club President Corrinne Hess, reporter for Wisconsin Public Radio.
