U.S. Cellular statement re: U.S. Cellular Arena naming rights

After careful consideration, U.S. Cellular and Wisconsin Center District (WCD), owner and operator of the U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, have decided to not continue the naming rights agreement to the building. When the current agreement with WCD ends on May 31, 2014, U.S. Cellular will no longer have the naming rights to the arena. We have enjoyed working with WCD, and we wish them success in the future.

After careful consideration, U.S. Cellular and Wisconsin Center District (WCD), owner and operator of the U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, have decided to not continue the naming rights agreement to the building. Even though this deal is coming to an end, U.S. Cellular remains committed to Wisconsin and will continue to invest in the Milwaukee community. In 2013, the company invested $94.5 million across the state through network and store experience upgrades and community involvement. More than $16.6 million of that was right here in Milwaukee. We will also continue to be the exclusive wireless provider of the Milwaukee Brewers and Summerfest and the presenting sponsor of the Wisconsin State Fair.
