Two Aurora Health Care sites top ‘Best Hospitals’ in Wisconsin list by U.S. News & World Report
Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center – Grafton earn recognition statewide and locally
MILWAUKEE – Aurora Health Care has again achieved high marks by the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals” 2025-26 ranking survey, released today. For the third consecutive year, Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center was named the No. 1 hospital in the Milwaukee Metro area and the No. 2 hospital in Wisconsin. Aurora Medical Center – Grafton ranked No. 3 in the Milwaukee Metro area and No. 6 in the state.
Aurora Health Care’s specialty care was also rated “high performing” in seven additional specialties, including:
- Cancer
- Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery
- Gastroenterology & GI Surgery
- Geriatrics
- Neurology & Neurosurgery
- Pulmonology & Lung Surgery
- Urology

U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions; only one third of them earned an award. To determine the best hospitals, U.S. News & World Report analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and level of nursing care.
