Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s Ride on the Wild Side Bike Ride

It’s the one time a year you can ride your bike in the Milwaukee County Zoo. Ride on the Wild Side is a fun event for people of all ages, and it helps raise money for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. The registration fee includes entry to the Zoo and parking, a continental breakfast, lunch, a long sleeve T-shirt, crafts and activities for children. Last year’s event raised $30,000 for the Society and its efforts supporting the Milwaukee County Zoo. Helmets are mandatory.

What: Ride on the Wild Side, sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Where: All rides start and end at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
2.5-mile kids’ ride stays inside the Zoo
10-, 17- and 27-mile rides start and end in the Zoo but go through the Menomonee River Parkway along the Oak Leaf bike trail.

When: Sept. 9, 2018. Ride check-in and registration starts at 7 a.m. at the Zoo. Activities end at
1:00 p.m.

Registration: Register online at zoosociety.org/bike or call 414-258-2333. Day-of-event registrations will be accepted (limited T-shirt sizes will be available).

Cost: Adults (ages 14 and over): $35 for Zoo Pass members, $40 for non-members and $45 for any adults registering the day of the ride.

Children (ages 3-13): $12 for Zoo Pass members, $15 for non-members and $20 for any child registering the day of the ride.

Family of four (2 adults, 2 children): $85 for Zoo Pass members, $100 for non-members; the discount is not available the day of the ride.
