The Salvation Army to Recognize Volunteers at Annual Appreciation Breakfast

MILWAUKEE COUNTY – The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County will recognize exceptional volunteers at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, April 22.

The event will take place from 9–10 a.m. at The Salvation Army of Oak Creek, located at 8853 S. Howell Ave., Oak Creek, WI 53154.

“Volunteers are the heart of our mission,” said Major Beverly Gates, Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County. “Their compassion and dedication make it possible for us to serve thousands of neighbors across Milwaukee County every year.”

In 2025, volunteers contributed more than 20,000 hours to support the programs and services provided by The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County. Award recipients include:

2025 Doing the Most Good Awards: Amazon, Landmark Credit Union, St. Paul Outreach Ministries, U.S. Bank
2025 Volunteer of the Year – Citadel Corps: Julie Juedes
2025 Volunteer of the Year – Cold Spring Corps: Officer Michael Ward and Officer Fabian Garcia
2025 Volunteer of the Year – Oak Creek Corps: Monthly Men’s Union
2025 Chaplain of the Year – Corlis Lewis
2025 Service Club of the Year – Rotary Club of Mitchell Field
2025 Youth Group Bell Ringers of the Year – Germantown NHS
2025 Celebrity Bell Ringing Champions – Alex Corradetti and Frankie Jupiter, CBS 58 News
2025 Chaplain/MPD Kettle Challenge Champions – District 4
