Animal Farm

Milwaukee, WI… The Quasimondo Milwaukee Physical Theatre is pleased to announce the return of their revolutionary production, Animal Farm. This one-night-only encore performance is free to the public and will be presented under the stars at the Lake Park Summer Stage. Arrive early, at 6:00 p.m., and picnic to the musical stylings of local folk/jug band, Mississippi Sawyer.

“An exhilarating evening of vivid pageantry…humor, drama, and big ideas” – Jeff Grygny, Milwaukee Theatre Examiner

“Deliciously uncomfortable…quite charming… a stark reminder of where we have come as a society and how relevant Orwell’s work remains” – Russ Bickerstaff, Shepherd Express

Inspired by George Orwell’s timeless tale, this original theatrical adaption examines the slippery slope of liberation, the erosion of right(s), and the high cost of consumption. Served with generous dollops of satire, puppetry, live music and movement.

The beasts of Manor Farm have suffered abuse from the tyrannical Mr. Jones for far too long. In a spark of desperation, revolution ignites, and the proletariat emerges, cage free. The creatures of Animal Farm, under new management, cultivate a community in which all animals are equal…but some are more equal than others.

Animal Farm features a cast of barnyard animals designed by Puppet Master Andrew Parchman, and an eclectic blues/folk/industrial score written by Ben Yela. We invite you to join us for this FREE encore performance!
