The Gathering Partners with Street Angels to Expand Access to Essential Services in Milwaukee
Showers of Hope program brings mobile showers and resources directly to the community
Milwaukee, WI — The Gathering of Southeast Wisconsin is proud to announce a new partnership with Street Angels at their Running Rebels mealsite to expand access to essential services for individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Milwaukee.
Through this collaboration, Street Angels’ Showers of Hope mobile program will now be available the 2nd and 4th Wednesday; beginning Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at The Gathering’s meal site at Running Rebels 1300 W Fond du Lac—bringing critical resources directly to those who need them most.
Founded in 2016, Street Angels is a mobile outreach organization dedicated to assisting individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness by providing dignified services, advocacy, and consistent support. Their team travels throughout Milwaukee County delivering essential resources, building relationships, and helping connect individuals to long-term solutions.
The Showers of Hope program operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday and offers more than access to a hot shower—it provides dignity, care, and connection. Guests receive clean clothing, towels, hygiene kits, a nutritious bag lunch, and a private shower in a safe, welcoming environment. The program is open not only to individuals experiencing homelessness, but to anyone in the community who may have limited access to bathing facilities, including ADA-compliant options.

Together, we are creating a stronger, more connected safety net for our community.”
By bringing together trusted organizations with shared values, this partnership expands access to immediate basic needs while also strengthening pathways to long-term support and stability.
