The Fourth Annual HYFIN Anti-Gala Will Spin it Back to the 1980s on June 5 at the Cooperage
Milwaukee, WI — HYFIN, the digital-first media platform from Radio Milwaukee and the city’s only urban alternative station, is proud to bring back its signature annual fundraiser, the HYFIN Anti-Gala. Taking place June 5 at the Cooperage, this year’s event will once again provide an immersive cultural experience to celebrate Black excellence throughout the Milwaukee area.
The Anti-Gala will earn that name in 2026 by leaving your typical buttoned-down gala behind and taking attendees back to the 1980s, an iconic decade for Black culture, through this year’s theme: “Shell toes. Soundwaves. Social impact.”
Music, community and impact will collide as guests experience the energy of a family-style cookout, DJs spinning classic sounds of the decade, authentic ’80s memorabilia curated by the Milwaukee Hip Hop Museum, exclusive vinyl packages and a signature dessert experience from Kimberly Sweets, winner of the Netflix series Is It Cake?
The one-of-a-kind atmosphere directly supports HYFIN’s mission while celebrating Black Milwaukee with one of the best parties of the year. That includes the recognition of four distinguished awardees whose work embodies HYFIN’s pillars — Music & Culture, Entrepreneurship, Youth Education, and Storytelling — plus the Danae Davis Award that honors a community leader who has dedicated their career to uplifting and empowering youth in Milwaukee.
Here’s what guests can expect at each ticket level:

● Entry to the party at 7 p.m.
