The Brewery District develops a new downtown Farmers Market

Friday farmers market celebrating local farmers, food, and artists in the historic Brewery District

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (April 24, 2022) – The Brewery District will hold its first annual Farmers Market featuring local farmers, artists, makers, beer, food trucks, and music on Fridays at 3 p.m., beginning June 10 and running through October 28. The market will be located in Preservation Park at 925 W. Juneau Avenue under the historic neon Pabst Sign.

“Now the neighborhood is fully completed, we are excited to program outdoor spaces to bring the community together,” said Erin Stenum, manager of The Brewery Neighborhood Improvement District No. 1.

“The Friday Farmers Market will the perfect place to enjoy the beginning of the weekend, pick up some amazing local produce straight from the farm for the week, grab a beer from one of our neighborhood breweries Central Waters Brewing Company or Milwaukee Brewing Company, and enjoy the history of the neighborhood and all the great things to do here.”

The Brewery District Farmers Market is a part of the Neighborhood Improvement District #1’s commitment to community development and engagement to sustain the historic Pabst Brewing Company complex neighborhood redevelopment. The Brewery District is now home to a variety of professional and service-oriented businesses, breweries, hotels, and restaurants. We are also home to UW-Milwaukee Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health, nearly 800 new apartments, unique office, event, and entertainment spaces, and more than 70 businesses within eight city blocks.

The Brewery District Farmers Market will feature live entertainment and a Best Place Beer Garden from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. among local farms, artists, makers, and food trucks.
