MILWAUKEE (September 17, 2024) – Access to up-to-date cybersecurity for individuals and businesses is more needed than ever as Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to develop and fall into the hands of hackers and con artists. To ensure a safer digital world for companies, students, families, and all online users, SysLogic, Inc. proudly announces its fifth annual Cybersecurity Summit, in collaboration with the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), as part of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

WHEN: Friday, October 11th, 2024, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
WHERE: MSOE, Diercks Hall, 1025 N. Milwaukee Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202
SCHEDULE: MKECyberSummit.com

In its 5th year, the tradition of this summit continues with talks providing insight on proactive offensive and defensive cybersecurity measures, emerging trends, combating the cybersecurity talent gap, and more. In addition to their business programming, SysLogic has added a Tech Track for tech enthusiasts, packed with panels, expert presentations, and hardware hacking villages. The exchange of ideas for all attendees is ensured through open discussions with experts from a diverse range of industries, including the Boldt Company, Children’s Wisconsin, Foley & Lardner, Froedtert Health, Landmark Credit Union, Michael Best, NVIDIA, Summit Credit Union, and others.

SysLogic, a Wisconsin-based technology services firm, believes candid discussions among industry counterparts to be the swiftest way to safeguard sensitive data against cybersecurity threats. Tina Chang, CEO of SysLogic states, “By now everyone knows someone who has been the victim when their bank or medical information has been compromised, and in the age of AI such cyberattack disasters only continue to increase. This summit provides critical preventative dialogues and education.”

A unique aspect of the Cybersecurity Summit is its commitment to the next generation. Proceeds from attendee registrations will be donated to a scholarship fund established by the Midwest Cyber Security Alliance. This fund aims to support students pursuing cybersecurity disciplines at local universities, including MSOE and UW-Milwaukee. Students are also welcome to attend the event at no cost.
