WISCONSIN — Today, Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) announced she is running for reelection to the United States Senate in 2024. Baldwin released the following statement on her reelection campaign:

“I’m committed to making sure that working people, not just the big corporations and ultra-wealthy, have a fighter on their side. With so much at stake, from families struggling with rising costs to a ban on reproductive freedom, Wisconsinites need someone who can fight and win,” said Baldwin.

Tammy Baldwin was elected to the United States Senate in 2012, defeating longtime Republican Governor Tommy Thompson, making her Wisconsin’s first woman and the first openly gay member elected to the US Senate. She was reelected in 2018.

In the Senate, she has worked with Republicans and Democrats to take on the biggest fights and win, passing legislation to promote Made in America manufacturing, lower the price of prescription drugs like insulin, and expand health care for veterans. She is the author of the Women’s Health Protection Act which guarantees equal access to abortion everywhere in the United States.
