Suspect Criminally Charged in Connection to Shots Fired at Officers Incident

MILWAUKEE, WI – On October 21, 2024, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued criminal charges against Hyrom L. Stokes in connection to firing shots at Milwaukee Police officers. The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at approximately 11:18 p.m., on the 2100 block of W. North Avenue.

Stokes was charged with one count of Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety- Use of a Dangerous Weapon. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison and fined up to $25,000.
