Suspect Criminally Charged in Connection to Sextuple Homicide

MILWAUKEE, WI – On Saturday, June 4, 2022, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued criminal charges against Travis L. Birkley in connection to a sextuple homicide that occurred on January 23, 2022, on the 2500 block of N. 21st Street.

Birkley was charged with six counts of Felony Murder – Armed Robbery (Party to a Crime). If convicted, he could face up to 330 years in prison.

The Milwaukee Police Department appreciates all the dedication and hard work of all our members, especially the Homicide Unit, that worked tirelessly with Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office to bring charges against Birkley. This arrest brings us one step closer to bringing justice for all the lives that were lost during this senseless tragedy. We continue to send our condolences to the family and friends of all the victims.
