Suspect criminally charged in connection to crash that killed an infant
On Friday, March 12, 2021, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued criminal charges against Christopher D. Barnes. Barnes was the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash that caused the death of an infant. The crash occurred on Monday, March 8, 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m., on 3300 block of W. Greenfield Avenue.
Barnes was charged with one count of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle, one count of Injury by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle (Great Bodily Harm), Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Bail Jumping (Felony). If convicted, he could face up to 53 years, 6 months in prison and fined up to $ 160,000.
