Supervisor Logsdon Issues Statement Fiercely Advocating for Hales Corners Pool’s Reopening
MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisor Patti Logsdon reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for the reopening of the Hales Corners Pool, a cherished community asset, in the following statement:
“After actively engaging in public outreach initiatives aimed at shaping the future of aquatic facilities and services in Milwaukee County, it has become even more clear how vital the Hales Corners Pool is to the surrounding neighborhood. We have heard the voices of countless community members advocating for the pool to be reopened. I hope the Parks department is hearing the same message that I am. We need Hales Corners Pool opened this summer!
“I’ve been a fierce advocate for the Hales Corners Pool since day one. Along the way, we recognized the issue of lifeguard shortages as a significant challenge. I am proud to have been instrumental in advancing legislation to address this issue. I also actively encourage young people to apply for lifeguard positions to alleviate staffing shortages. The safety of our community members is paramount. By addressing lifeguard shortages, we can ensure that our aquatic facilities are safe and enjoyable for everyone.”
Supervisor Logsdon has advocated for the Hales Corners Pool every time the topic is agendized by a County Board standing committee to increase visibility for the issue.
