Supervisor Coggs-Jones to Host 10th District Pre-Summer Cleanup
MILWAUKEE – County Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones will host her first community cleanup on Saturday, June 12 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Volunteers will begin at Sunshine Park, located at 14th Street and North Avenue, and proceed on North Avenue from 12th Street to 20th Street.
“A clean neighborhood instills a sense of pride in those who live there,” said Supervisor Coggs-Jones. “If we can change the way we view our community then we can change the minds of our community. I look forward to seeing residents of the 10th District come out and support this cleanup.”
Walnut Way Conservation Corp., Peace for Change Alliance Inc, Neu-Life Community Development, Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful, Midwest Minority Officials Association, and Milwaukee Police Department District 3 are all partnering with Supervisor Coggs-Jones on this effort.
Community members are encouraged to volunteer and can simply show up at Sunshine Park on the day of the cleanup. Any questions about the event can be directed to Supervisor Coggs-Jones’ office by phone at (414) 278-4265 or by email at priscilla.coggsjones@
Supervisor Coggs-Jones was elected in April 2021 to represent the residents of Milwaukee County’s 10th Supervisory District, which includes several neighborhoods in Milwaukee including portions of Downtown, the Brady St. area, and Lindsay Heights.
