Supervisor Burgelis Celebrates Near West Side Week September 11-17
Near West Side Week will feature free activities will including a bus tour of development occurring on 27th Street, a food truck rally, the return of the Rev-Up MKE small business competition’s live pitch event, an outdoor movie night for children and families, and a stroll and roll down the Hank Aaron Trail.
Near West Side Partners—a nonprofit working to make the Near West Side a great place to live, work, play and stay—will hold its second annual Near West Side Week from September 11-17.
“The near west side is one of Milwaukee County’s great up-and-coming success stories, and much of the credit is due to Keith Stanley and his team at Near West Side Partners,” said County Supervisor Peter Burgelis. “Near West Side Week will be an excellent opportunity to celebrate these accomplishments and come together as a community. I encourage neighbors on the near west side as well as residents from across the county to take part in the fun, family-friendly activities happening next week.”
