Statement on Derrick Van Orden fundraising off of his outburst interrupting President Joe Biden at the State of the Union

STEVENS POINT, Wis—Katrina Shankland issues the following statement:

“Instead of apologizing for interrupting President Joe Biden at the State of the Union by yelling ‘Lies!’, Radical Derrick Van Orden is doubling down on his inappropriate behavior. He needs to return the donations he’s raking in for his inappropriate behavior which unfortunately is part of a long line of transgressions embarrassing our state and country. Wisconsin deserves so much better than Derrick Van Orden in Congress.”

Katrina is a state representative in the Wisconsin State Assembly. In the Legislature, Katrina passed 180 bipartisan laws, including increased access to affordable rural healthcare, help for farmers, expanded protections for first responders, and stronger clean water laws. Katrina is running for Congress to bring some common sense to the Capitol, fight against extremism, and deliver results for the hard-working people of Wisconsin.
