“Today, we remember the 2,977 people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We join the families of those who lost their lives in remembering their loved ones. We share their sorrow, and we recognize the heroic first responders who rushed into danger on that fateful day, sacrificing everything so that others might be saved.
