Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) released the following statement after Rep. John Murtha (R-Baldwin) announced that he will retire from the Wisconsin State Assembly at the end of his term Rep. Murtha is the current Majority Caucus Chair and is serving his 5th term in the Assembly.

“John is a respected leader in the Assembly Republican caucus. He will be missed for not only his dedication to the team, but also for his great sense of humor. I want to thank him for spending the last decade serving the state of Wisconsin in the Assembly. I hope he enjoys his retirement and spending more time with his wife, Terrie, and his family.”
