MILWAUKEE, WI, April 12th, 2021 – Skilos, pronounced skee-los, is a newly created family pet supplies business and will open their brick and mortar and eCommerce store April 15th, 2021 on Milwaukee’s Lower East Side. Specifically located at 2328 N Farwell Ave, next door to ATI Physical. Skilos is owned by Judy Kurscheidt, over 30 years in the pet industry, and managed by her two sons, Jerad & Zach, both Milwaukee residents.

We love the lower east side and noticed a gap in pet stores that provided a local, community based retail option with foods, treats, supplies and self service wash bays. We aim to satisfy pet ownership needs, specifically cat and dog owners, in the area and are striving to create a fun & loving community of pet owners in the area that have a local store to call their own!

“I can’t wait to meet the people in the community. Share tricks, tips and stories of pet ownership!” said Zachary Dewitt, Director of Marketing. Adding, “To embark on this adventure with my family who means so much to me is an incredible opportunity and I hope that the community feels that same love every time they step inside the store.”

While our four legged friends may not be human, make no mistake, they are part of the family! At Skilos we recognize the importance a pet can have in a household. Whether you have a large family or small, let us help you create the best family environment for your fur companion(s) and family members!

Director of Operations, Jerad Wagner, states “We can’t wait to embed ourselves into the city of Milwaukee! We aim to provide a top-notch service and shopping experience to our customers; relying on affordability and convenience. It truly is a dream come true starting a business of our own and we can not wait to meet all of our customers and their beloved pets.”
