MADISON, WI – This evening, Senator Habush Sinykin (D-Whitefish Bay) attended Governor Tony Evers’ fourth Budget Address, which included historic investments for Wisconsin families and children. Most notably, Governor Evers proposed nearly $2 billion in targeted tax relief through comprehensive planning and strategic efforts, while making continued investments in our schools and supporting local services and communities.

Senator Habush Sinykin released the following statement praising the Governor’s priorities:

“I applaud the work of Governor Evers to find ways to keep our state’s seniors and vital workforce here in Wisconsin, where we want them to remain and need them for the sake of our state’s families and economic progress. His proposed investments in public schools, clean water and child care are policies that will keep and attract young families and a vital workforce in Wisconsin.

“I am particularly pleased to see the Governor find ways to prioritize investments in Wisconsin’s future, while also making strategic tax cuts for middle-class Wisconsinites, including homeowners, renters, veterans, and seniors. It is now up to the Legislature to do our job and deliver for the people of Wisconsin.”
