MILWAUKEE– Delaware North Milwaukee Sportservice, the food and beverage partner of the Milwaukee Brewers, is helping teachers find summer jobs at Miller Park.

Ever wonder what teachers in Milwaukee do during their summers off? A growing number of teachers are enjoying their summers at Miller Park working as vendors, stand attendants, bartenders and more!

“Now that the school year wrapped up around Wisconsin, thousands of educators are searching for a fun job to help supplement their incomes. Working at Miller Park makes perfect sense for teachers and students, who want an exciting job and extra income during the summer months,” says Kevin Jezewski, General Manager, Delaware North Sportservice.

One such teacher is Jason Goede, teacher and coach at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, who is also a vendor at Miller Park. For Goede, the flexibility of choosing his own schedule is important. He is able to work at games when he doesn’t have school duties and earn valuable extra income.

“I’ve been able to see hundreds of baseball games, and singers on stage. I’ve gotten dozens of students’ jobs vending. I get to mentor them a bit and watch them grow. I have taken my family on special vacations. My summer job has made all of this possible.” said Goede.

Goede has also brought his game day experience into the classroom as head of the Business Education program. “One of the classes I teach is Marketing. I get to take marketing campaigns, in-game entertainment activities, and other business-related things that happen at the game and directly apply them to content in the classroom. Since many of the students have attended games, they are also able to contribute to the discussions.”

Educators and school staff are invited to attend a special hiring event next Tuesday, June 11th and visit www.baseballmke.com to apply or call (414) 902-4700 for more information to learn more about the variety of positions Delaware North Milwaukee Sportservice has open.
