Rivecca Brothers Complete Purchase of Concrete Company

The family ownership group of Riv/Crete Ready Mix today announced that it has purchased all of the ownership interest from Brian Ganos and as a result, the ready-mix business is now independently owned and operated by brothers Nicholas and Michael Rivecca.

“This is an exciting time and a major achievement for our company, employees and family,” said Nicholas Rivecca, one of the co-owners of Riv/Crete Ready Mix. “My brother Michael and I have worked very hard to achieve this goal and put our company into a position for a very exciting future.”

Nicholas Rivecca added that Riv/Crete Ready Mix launched four years ago in response to the legal issues involving Ganos, who late last year pled guilty to contract fraud. The Riveccas broke off from Ganos to start Riv/Crete upon learning of the legal issues. Riv/Crete has always been solely owned by the Riveccas, but it shared some ownership interest in trucks and facilities with Ganos until recently. This purchase agreement concludes a long-term negotiation between the two parties and now gives the two brothers total ownership of Riv/Crete and all of its assets.

“This marks a new beginning for Riv/Crete,” said Michael Rivecca. “With full ownership in the business, we are launching a new chapter in our company’s history.”

Riv/Crete has three operating facilities in the Milwaukee area: one is near S. Chase Ave. and W. Oklahoma Ave; another is near S.13th St. and W. Layton Ave.; and the third is near N. 124th St. and W. Hampton Ave. All three facilities have easy on and off access to the local freeway system.  The company currently has about 70 employees and 60 concrete trucks. Recent projects have included Ixonia State Bank, Walker’s Landing and the Otter Exhibit at the Milwaukee County Zoo.

The three, state-of-the-art concrete batch plants support each other and the 60 ready mix truck fleet to accommodate multiple large projects simultaneously. In addition, Riv/Crete has established an expansive line of building products to provide customers with other construction materials needed, such as sealers, decorative products and other building materials. Riv/Crete is the largest family and locally owned ready mix company based in Milwaukee.
