MADISON, Wis. – Today, Rep. Tenorio attended Governor Evers’ biennial budget address, which outlined a plan that follows through on Governor Evers’ declaration of 2025 as the Year of the Kid. This budget proposal will support working families and future generations. Rep. Tenorio (D-West Allis) issued the following statement:

“The budget is a moral document and is a reflection of our Wisconsin values. Governor Evers’ budget prioritizes our kids and their futures. Through lowering costs for working families and improving our natural environment, the governor’s proposals will ensure that every kid has a fair chance to succeed.”

“This budget proposal will have a significant impact in protecting our planet for future generations, making sure every child has access to clean drinking water, and giving our students the best education possible. I’m especially enthused about the historic $3.1 billion investment in K-12 public schools. Our kids are our future, and I will do everything I can to make sure they have the opportunity to thrive in Wisconsin.”

Looking ahead, Rep. Tenorio is excited to host budget listening sessions within the district. He welcomes all feedback on the governor’s budget.
