Rep. Robyn Vining Signs Letter Asking Speaker to Allow for Vote on Gail’s Law to Increase Access to Breast Cancer Screenings
MADISON – Assembly Democrats – led by Representative Renuka Mayadev (D-Madison) – submitted a letter requesting that Assembly Speaker Robin Vos allow a vote on Gail’s Law, a bill to expand insurance coverage of breast cancer screens (2025 Assembly Bill 263 / Senate Bill 264) Rep. Robyn Vining (D-Wauwatosa) signed on to the letter and released the following statement:
“Wisconsin women are dying preventable deaths, and passing Gail’s Law will save lives. This legislature needs to increase access to affordable, quality breast cancer screenings, so that breast cancer can be caught early, and lives can be saved.
“I have received hundreds of emails asking this legislature to get Gail’s Law signed into law. The state Senate has already passed the bill 32-1. Compromises have been made. We have found the common ground that serves the common good. We have done the work. Now let us vote!”
“Forward, together.”
Rep. Vining represents the 13th Assembly District, which includes Elm Grove, and parts of Wauwatosa and Brookfield. For more information visit Rep. Vining’s website here.
