Madison— Today State Representative Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee) issued the following statement in response to Governor Walker signing two bills into law:

“Today Governor Walker signed a number of great bills into law, including two I authored.

“The Traveling Sports Physician Bill, Assembly Bill 766, allows sports medicine professionals who travel to Wisconsin to treat their athletes while they’re here. This will promote tourism in Wisconsin by encouraging national athletics organizations to hold competitions in a state where teams know their athletes will receive medical care from the doctors most familiar to them. It also ensures a consistent level of quality health care for athletes who need it, and professional security to those doctors providing it.

“The Robotics Competition Grant Program Expansion Bill, Senate Bill 483, expands the Wisconsin Robotics Competition Grant Program to teams with students in grades 6 – 8. Encouraging students to get involved in robotics and STEM education earlier is another example of how Wisconsin is leading the way.”
