Rep. Jonathan Brostoff Announces Candidacy for Milwaukee Common Council
MILWAUKEE — State Representative Jonathan Brostoff announced his candidacy Tuesday for Milwaukee’s 3rd Aldermanic District.
Jonathan grew up in the 3rd Aldermanic district and has spent most of his life serving Milwaukee’s residents in both community and government roles. After over a decade and a half working and volunteering at local homeless shelters, serving as an AmeriCorps Public Ally and working in local and state government he ran for state assembly and in 2014 he was elected and sworn in as State Representative for Wisconsin’s 19th Assembly District.
“District residents tell me they’re looking for someone who will work collaboratively to find solutions to our challenges. I’m ready to be that voice on the Common Council,” Brostoff said.
Brostoff has a record of working with others to achieve lasting progressive results. He led the charge on bipartisan legislation for statewide Deaf access that passed unanimously.
Jonathan lives on the East Side with his wife, Diana, and their 3 young children. His oldest was just accepted to an MPS K-3 program where he’ll be starting soon.
