Rep. Fitzgerald Votes to Pass Final FY26 Appropriations Bills & Secures Funding to Improve Waukesha CTH O/Moorland Road
WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement after voting to pass the final appropriations bills for FY26, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, and the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act.
“I voted to pass the Consolidated Appropriations Act because it delivers a 3.8% pay raise for our troops, funds critical defense and infrastructure priorities in a fiscally responsible way, and prioritizes Secretary Kennedy’s Food is Medicine Initiative to Make America Healthy Again. Importantly, this bill also delivers $5.5 million to complete construction of the Waukesha CTH O/Moorland Road project, which carries over 30,000 vehicles per day and serves as a major access road between I-43 and I-94.
“We finished the full appropriations process the way it is supposed to be done, with each bill considered on its merits and with real oversight and accountability, not with one massive omnibus. This approach puts taxpayers first and delivers on our conference’s promise to restore regular order in the House of Representatives.”
