WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) recognized the winners of the 2021 Congressional App Challenge.

The Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle school and high school students who reside in or attend a school in Wisconsin’s Fifth District. The challenge offers students an opportunity to show off their tech skills by developing their own software application.

The 2021 Congressional App Challenge Winners are Akshat Channashetti, Akash Moorching, and Thevindu Perera. The trio attend Brookfield East High School and created an application called GoGo Bus: A Route Optimization Solution.

“My congratulations go out to Akshat, Akash, and Thevindu for their ingenious app creation and winning the 2021 Congressional App Challenge,” said Congressman Fitzgerald. “I was pleased to formally congratulate the trio at Brookfield East High and learn more about how their app would allow bus drivers in the area to maximize time and fuel efficiency. I’m confident this is only the beginning of their creative endeavors.”
