MILWAUKEE (July 7, 2022)88Nine Radio Milwaukee (WYMS-88.9FM) has named radio veteran Erin Wolf as its new Music Director, the station announced Thursday.

In her new position, Wolf will be responsible for maintaining the music library and managing the music scheduling for 88.9FM and 414Music.FM. Wolf will also coordinate Studio Milwaukee Sessions, arrange artist interviews, create original music-driven content and more.

Beginning in August, Wolf will host her own speciality show on Sunday evenings. She will fill in for other on-air hosts, as needed.

“Erin’s experience with and passion for public radio is unmatched in this city,” 88Nine Program Director Dori Zori said. “She brings an enthusiasm for new music and a deep appreciation for our Milwaukee music scene that will both be incredible assets to our organization and our listeners.”

Wolf most recently held the position of Music Director and Program Host at WMSE-91.7FM. In her 17 years at the station, she managed the music library, hosted her own show, and booked and hosted the station’s weekly local music show, “Local/Live.”

“I very much look forward to continuing my adventures in radio, exploring and scouting for new musical gems to share with the Milwaukee community and beyond,” Wolf said. “I also look forward to sharing the in-depth interviews and one-of-a-kind studio sessions that Radio Milwaukee has become known for over the past 15 years.”
