Premiere Choral Ensemble Cor Cantiamo to Perform at Carroll University on Sunday, February 8, at 4:00 pm

The concert will take place at Carroll University’s Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha, at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8.

Centaur Records recording artist Cor Cantiamo presents Inspirited: A Choral Concert Exploring the Divine, a program designed to explore composers’ efforts to understand the divine and create beauty in the world. Carroll University Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. Seth Houston, will also present several works.

Through appearances at professional conventions, world premieres, recordings, and collaborations with America’s leading composers, Cor Cantiamo is quickly receiving acclaim as a premier vocal ensemble noted for their exceptional musicality and range of emotional and musical content, presenting “choral artistry at its finest.”

During the concert, you will be taken on a musical journey exploring everything from contemporary voices of American composers Abbie Betinis, Jake Runestad, and Timothy Takach, to the poignant lamentations of Thomas Weelkes, and poetry set by Brahms, Hindemith and Stanford.

The concert will take place at Carroll University’s Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha, at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8. The concert is free and open to the public; a goodwill offering will be accepted.
