Peter Burgelis Launches “Who’s Better Off These Days?” Listening Tour with 21 Stops Across Wisconsin’s First Congressional District
Peter Burgelis, candidate for Congress in Wisconsin’s First Congressional District, will launch his “Who’s Better Off These Days?” listening tour this Friday, making 21 stops across Racine, Kenosha, Oak Creek, Whitewater, Beloit, and Janesville to hear directly from working families, small business owners, and workers about the rising cost of living.
The tour is centered on a simple question: Who is better off these days? “This is about listening to people who are being squeezed from every direction,” Burgelis said.
“As a former restaurant owner, I know exactly what rising costs look like from the inside,” said Burgelis. “When food prices go up, when supply costs rise, when margins get tighter, small businesses feel it first. And those costs do not stay there. They get passed on to families who are already stretched thin.”
“In a district that stretches more than 30 miles from north to south and roughly 60 miles across, Burgelis is making 21 stops because people want a representative who shows up and listens, not one who stays in Washington.”
Over four days, Burgelis will visit bakeries, coffee shops, breweries, and locally owned businesses, including Racine staples like O&H, Kenosha Coffee Roasters, and small businesses across Whitewater, Beloit, and Janesville. At each stop, he will hear directly from owners and workers across SE Wisconsin.
