PEARLS Partners with Howard University for Alternative Spring Break 2025
Milwaukee, WI – February 27, 2025– PEARLS is proud to partner with Howard University for their Howard University Alternative Spring Break (HUASB) 2025 program. As part of this initiative, 12 Howard University students will volunteer their time to support PEARLS’ mission on Tuesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 6, from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM at 1805 N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53212.
“Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization, and we are grateful to the Howard University students for dedicating their time to this effort,” said Alma Velez, Director of Development at PEARLS. “We are thrilled to count on the help of students from such a prestigious HBCU (Historically Black College and University) to help us express gratitude to our supporters and reinforces the strong community that makes our mission possible.”
The HUASB program is a long-standing Howard University tradition that allows students to serve communities across the country during their spring break. Through this partnership, students will gain hands-on experience in community engagement while making a lasting impact in Milwaukee.
