(MADISON) – State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement regarding the passage of AJR 79 urging the Pro Football Hall of Fame to induct Jerry Kramer.

“This year the Pro Football Hall of Fame has the opportunity to right an injustice that has long been in need of remedy. I know of no player more deserving of recognition than Jerry Kramer and this is the year he should be inducted into the Hall. Not only did Jerry have an exemplary pro football career he has remained a kind a generous spirit here in Wisconsin.  I am glad that the Wisconsin State Legislature took this opportunity, on what is Jerry’s 82nd birthday, to stand in full support of his induction and to wish him the best of luck as he approaches this important recognition.”
