One Wisconsin Now Statements on Inauguration of Gov. Tony Evers and Newly Elected Statewide Officers
New Focus on People of Wisconsin, Not Partisan Political Gain Makes it a Great Day for Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. — The following are the statements of One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross on the inauguration of Tony Evers as Wisconsin’s 46th Governor, along with Mandela Barnes as Lieutenant Governor, Josh Kaul as Attorney General and Sarah Godlewski as State Treasurer:
“The inauguration of Tony Evers as our state’s 46th Governor, along with Mandela Barnes as Lieutenant Governor, Josh Kaul as Attorney General and Sarah Godlewski as State Treasurer is more than just a change in administration, it is a change in how our state government does business.
“Gov. Evers and the newly elected statewide leaders have made clear solving problems is job one for them and our state government. It will be the needs of the hard working people of Wisconsin, our common values and common sense, not personal political gain, that will now guide the direction of our state.
“This change makes it a great day for Wisconsin.”
