On This Day: Eric Hovde Called Wisconsin Men and Women ‘Deplorable’

MADISON, Wis. — On this day in 2016, Eric Hovde called Wisconsin men and women “deplorable,” criticizing women for “spending too much time focused on what’s going on in Hollywood” and men for “engrossing themselves too much in sports.”

Hovde has spent his entire campaign insulting Wisconsinites, including seniors, farmers, young people, the Black community, and more.
