Nomination deadline looming for 6th District Landscape Awards
The deadline to submit nominations for recognizing the very best in landscaping in the 6th Aldermanic District is fast approaching, with just 48 hours left – Friday, October 7.
Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs said the time is now for submitting entries for the 6th District Landscape Awards. Special recognition for outstanding residential garden or landscaping efforts is sought, and residents are invited to nominate a neighbor or themselves for a property that is especially eye-catching or has been well-landscaped.
Alderwoman Coggs is an ardent and longtime supporter of beautifying and improving city neighborhoods, and the 6th District Landscape Awards are a part of her Clean City Project.
“There are many dedicated residents who work extremely hard to keep their properties looking great, and I believe those people should be recognized for their continued efforts,” said Alderwoman Coggs. “If you or someone you know lives in the 6th District and puts in that extra effort in keeping their property looking great, I would encourage you to nominate them for this award.”
To be considered, nominees’ names and addresses should be emailed to mcoggs@milwaukee.gov, and supporting digital photos are also recommended. Nominations are due by the close of business on Friday, October 7th.
