New Directory Connects Nonprofits with Community Supporters
Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Community Bridge simplifies giving locally
Milwaukee, Wis., Aug. 18, 2026 – The Greater Milwaukee Foundation has launched a new online directory designed to share the impact of area nonprofits with community members interested in making a difference. The only tool of its kind in the region, Community Bridge is part of the Foundation’s commitment to making philanthropy more informed and accessible while strengthening the nonprofit sector.
The nonprofit listing is open to all as a free resource to learn more about the missions of local organizations and find causes to support that match your personal interests.
In addition, each nonprofit profile on Community Bridge includes specific funding requests that describe the current needs of the organization, how gifts at different levels would be used and the intended outcomes of the programs or projects featured. Profiles also include contact information and showcase each organization’s impact in action through brief success stories.
The directory is fully searchable and can be sorted by interest area, geographic area served and type of support requested. Links are provided on each profile that connect to the nonprofit’s donation page, while Greater Milwaukee Foundation donors can make gifts directly from their advised funds.
“Access to information matters, and this new resource puts philanthropy at our community’s fingertips,” said Greg Wesley, president and CEO of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. “Community Bridge fulfills a crucial need for our donors and partners to connect more directly about opportunities for impact across our region.”
Nonprofits based in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington or Waukesha counties wishing to join the growing list of over 290 included agencies are invited to submit profiles for consideration as future updates are made.
