RACINE — The Judge Lisa Neubauer for Justice campaign today released fundraising numbers from the second half of 2018, with more than $325,000 raised in the six-month period, and more than $570,000 on hand in Judge Neubauer’s campaign account as of January 1, 2019. The campaign now has more than 920 donors, and has more than twice as much on hand as her opponent.

“This is a massive show of support for Judge Neubauer’s campaign,” said Tyler Hendricks, campaign manager. “Judge Neubauer is in a very strong, unprecedented position, and her campaign has raised more than any non-incumbent at this stage of the campaign. More than 300 judges are endorsing Judge Neubauer, and she has tremendous support from a broad, bipartisan group of 23 sheriffs and 46 district attorneys. She is in the best possible position to win in April.”

“We have a clear message—judges should be fair, impartial, independent, and nonpolitical—and that’s what the voters of Wisconsin want,” said Senior Consultant Scott Spector. “It’s a stark contrast with Judge Neubauer’s opponent, who has a deeply partisan history and an ideological agenda, and a very narrow base of support. We’ve put together the strong team we need to win and Wisconsin will be better off when Judge Neubauer sits on the Supreme Court.”

After joining the Court of Appeals, Judge Neubauer was elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2014, and has served as Chief Judge since 2015. She had almost two decades of experience as a litigation attorney at Foley & Lardner before joining the appellate court and also served as a law clerk for Judge Barbara Crabb, then-Chief Judge of the United States District Court, Western District of Wisconsin. Judge Neubauer lives in Racine with her husband, Jeff, and they are the proud parents of three children.
