MorganMyers Welcomes Summer Intern

Waukesha, Wis. (May 22, 2018) – Derek Berkshire joins the MorganMyers team as the summer communications intern at the firm’s Waukesha office.
Berkshire is a senior studying agribusiness marketing and agricultural communication at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. This summer, he will be working with MorganMyers’ clients including the Illinois Soybean Association, Illinois Farm Families and The SCN Coalition. In addition to client work, he will focus on internal projects that highlight the agency’s thought leadership and culture.
The Monticello, Indiana, native grew up showing cattle in 4-H and competing in FFA leadership contests. After a gap year serving as an Indiana FFA state officer, Berkshire gained experience in corporate affairs and business strategy through internships at Tyson Foods and Cargill. These internships helped him develop a passion for telling stories while using data and technology to provide meaningful insights. He is excited to use these skills to serve MorganMyers’ clients.
“Derek has two great internships already under his belt, so we’re looking to build on an established skill set,” said Tim Oliver, MorganMyers president. “He’ll get an orientation, a chance to settle in and then immediate exposure to our work processes, culture and clients.
