The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council Inc., the area’s leading home improvement and remodeling industry resource for 52 years, recently launched a redesigned website to provide additional information for consumers seeking to find home improvement and remodeling contractors in southeastern Wisconsin.

Area homeowners can search for a home remodeling contractor through more than 200 product or service categories, having the opportunity to review detailed information on the member companies, including whether the company has NARI Certified Professionals on staff, with a link directly to the company website.

The updated site also has a breakdown of all the NARI Certified Professionals, identified by the particular certification designation, as well as an Events calendar that highlights consumer shows, free public seminars and panel discussions, and the association’s radio program that airs weekly on WSSP-AM 1250.  There is also a listing of companies that have earned the State of the Art Remodeling Specialists (STARS) designation, a training program for members to improve their skills not only as a contractor, but as business owners as well.

Homeowners can review member company award-winning projects on the Remodeler Awards pages, with projects including kitchens, bathrooms, lower levels, additions, interiors, and landscapes depicted in before and after images.  A variety of resources can be accessed through the site, including the quarterly consumer newsletter, the association’s code of ethics, links to news releases, a glossary of home improvement and remodeling terms, and the opportunity to request the free Membership Directory, Remodeling Guide, and Resource Guide.

The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council was chartered in July 1961, as a Chapter of the National Home Improvement Council. In May of 1982, the National Home Improvement Council merged with the National Remodelers Association to form NARI – the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

The Council’s goals of encouraging ethical conduct, professionalism, and sound business practices in the remodeling industry have led to the remodeling industry’s growth and made NARI a recognized authority in that industry.  With over 740 members, the Milwaukee Chapter is the nation’s largest.

For more information or to receive a free copy of an annual membership roster listing all members alphabetically and by category, and the booklet, “Milwaukee/NARI’s Remodeling Guide,” call 414-771-4071 or visit the Council’s website at www.milwaukeenari.org.
