Milwaukee Repertory Theater Seeks Young Performers for Spring Production of Our Town

Milwaukee Rep will hold auditions for Young Performers between the ages of 8 to 17.

December 15, 2017– (Milwaukee) Milwaukee Repertory Theater is in search of several young performers for their final show of the 2017/18 Season, Our Town. Milwaukee Rep will hold auditions for Young Performers between the ages of 8 to 17 to help bring the town of Grover’s Corner to life in this classic play by Thornton Wilder.

Parents who would like their children to audition should send in the following information to Milwaukee Rep by Tuesday, January 2 at 5pm. Submissions must include the young performer’s name, a recent photo, height and weight, a parent/guardian’s phone number and email address, and a brief note from the young performer telling the theater about who they are and why they would like to be in Our Town.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 6. Those chosen from submitted materials will be notified of an audition time and receive materials to prepare for the audition. Callbacks will be held later in the day. No one will be seen without an appointment.

Our Town rehearses Tuesdays through Sundays from March 13 to April 8 and performs April 10 to May 13 at the Quadracci Powerhouse.  Please note that young performers will need to miss school for technical rehearsals and matinee performances.  All Young Performers must be accompanied at the audition by a parent or legal guardian. At the audition, please be prepared to provide any conflicts with the rehearsal/performance dates.
